Force Of Weight

This time I will discuss about gravity or more often referred to as weight. In general, people have been wrong to say mass as the weight of the object.
"Force Of Weight is a force that always leads to the center of the earth

Remember you what is the difference between the mass of the weight of the object? The mass of an object is the number of particles contained in the object. The mass of the object is fixed, meaning that is not affected by gravity. While the weight of the object expressed the force of gravity acting on the object. Since weight is a force then the weight of the object can be measured using a spring balance.

Thus, the mass of the same magnitude in any mass measurements performed, while the weight of the object changes depending on the location. This is due to the acceleration of gravity is not the same in each place, depending on the distance from the center of the earth. Heavy objects in the polar regions will be greater than the weight of the object at the equator. This is due to the polar distance closer to the center of the earth than the equator. Thus, the weight of an object changes depending on the location of the center of the earth. Every object on earth has weight. Heavy objects can be defined mathematically as follows.

Description:
m: mass of object (kg)

g : acceleration of gravity (m/s2)
w : weight (N)

let Exercise !?

  1. Explain the difference between mass and weight concept!
  2. If the weight of the object in a place 50 N and the acceleration of gravity at the site 10 m / s ^ 2, calculate the mass of the object!
  3. A metal ball of mass 4 kg is located on the top floor. What is the weight of the metal ball if the acceleration of gravity at that place 9.8 m / s ^ 2?
  4. Calculate the mass of an object that weighs 65 N when the acceleration of gravity at the 9.8 m / s ^ 2!
  5. A mass of 5 kg wooden cube. Heavy wood cube somewhere is 48 N. What is the acceleration of gravity at the site?
Okay I will give you an example, for number two:
2. Known : Weight : 50 N
                   gravitation : 10 m/s^2.
                   Asked : Mass......?
Anwered :
w : m . g
m : w/g
m : 50 N/10 m/s^2 = 5 kg

okay good luck :)
