Why Do Birds Not Get Electrocuted When Perched On The Power Cable?


Have you ever seen a bird that was perched on the the power cable? Have you ever think, why do not birds get electrocuted even though his legs were touching the high voltage cable? Not only birds, squirrels did not get electrocuted  eventhought go back through a high-voltage cable. Hhmm .. Why do its happen?? where makes the birds and squirrels that can be resistant to the flow of electricity? Let's see my Blog.. ...

Definition electric shock ..

A process of the electric current from outside the body. Electrocuted happened at the contact of the human body with a source voltage high enough to cause the flow through the muscles or hair. When electric shock, there is a potential difference (potential flows from high to low) voltage that appears between the body and the environment.
It happened because of the potential difference in the flow of the positive pole to the negative pole of the battery.
Previously you would have ever to read the article "Why We Can electrocuted?". Well, a little repeat, something can be exposed electrical shock in the event a voltage difference. As water flows from a high to a low electric current to flow from high voltage to low voltage which will cause the voltage. Earth or soil has a low voltage. This causes the power is always flowing to earth from the power supply connector (conductor).


According to the concept of AC circuits
 
At the time of the bird perched on the the power cable, they will not electric shock, because the bird is perched on a cable only and does not caused a change in voltage in the cable its host. Their feet do not touch the neutral cable or Ground (earth). So there is a potential difference in the flow that passes through the body of the bird it was, so that the birds will not electric shock.







Observe the condition Lamp in the image below, is not always saved if the bird perch, electric shock can also if you happen to touch more than one cable. Another example is when we test a current that is in the socket for example. Lamp indicator will light up on the test pen so we placed the tip of our fingers. why the indicator light in the test pen can light up, when there is no the switch? That is because our bodies are still in contact with the soil or ground which will cause the flow of electrical current into the ground through our bodies. Now try adding the existing insulation in your feet, then the indicator lights on the test pen will be dimmed as well .


if people touches the power cable  like birds gripped cable, then people will not be shocked (of course with the feet not touching the ground because the soil can serve as a ground that there was a difference in voltage so that power flows to the conductor of the human body).
